20" x 24" Digital Print
The Eye of Venus was created as part of a benefit show for a man suffering from PTSD. The geometry in the center is derived from the order 7 magic square of Venus. This particular magic square dates back to antiquity as part of a set of 7 squares that were associated with the 7 classical planets in ancient Arabic literature.
The silhouettes around the graph represent the many forms of self that can exist when a personality has been fractured by trauma. The vortex geometry produced from the square of Venus represents both an exit as well as an entrance into a space for integration of self to take place within.
